DESCRIPTION:Join us for this fun event as we learn from the best driving instructors and put our skills to the test\, whipping around the track in their M2s\, M3s\, M4s and M5s!  This event will be at the BMW Performance Center in Spartanburg\, SC on Sunday\, June 19th\, 2022\, and we’ll be driving their M cars. \nSpace is limited; only the first 32 registrants will be able to participate; driving registration is open to all\, regardless of BMW Car Club membership.  Only $800 for a full day of training and track time.  UPDATE All slots taken as of March 30th. \nWhen registering\, you can order lunches for your non-driving guests; guest lunches will be $30 (driver lunches will be provided). \nWill be providing further details on lodgings in near future \nWe’ll also be traveling down to the Performance Center in a group — we’ll send an email to all registrants when those details are finalized  \nPlease don’t delay; spaces are limited. \nPresident@TWBMWcca.org \nTreasurer@TWBMWcca.org \nSecretary@TWBMWcca.org \n\nAs always\, we will have a discount on hotel accommodations and you’ll have to make arrangements for those who wish to attend\, but not participate.

DESCRIPTION:With regret we have decided to postpone our drive event to the Outer Banks due to increasing COVID  concerns.\n  \nIt’s that time of year to put on your windbreakers and join us for this year’s Holiday Outer Banks Drive.   \nOur drive will start at 10:00 at Border Station\, 100 Caratoke Hwy (NC 168)\, Moyock\, NC 27958 — please arrive at 9:30 \nWe’ll convoy to meet the Matthews at 100 Ocean Green Ct\, Kitty  Hawk\, NC 27949.  Linda and Bill will then lead us on a lovely winter time tour of Duck with lunch at Historical Life Saving Station at Sanderling (1461 Duck Rd\, Duck\, NC 27949).  \n \n After lunch we will continue on to the Currituck Beach Lighthouse located at historic Corolla Village. Members are free to stroll around the grounds and take pictures and enjoy the attractions. It is a lovely place on the Currituck Sound and the Whalehead Club Mansion is also located there.  \n We will do a photo op there and line the cars up by the lighthouse.  As always\, Linda will have a few surprises for everyone just to ad to the excitement of the season.

DESCRIPTION:The Tidewater Chapter in concert with Tire Rack is holding its annual Street Survival driving course for our area teenage drivers.\nThe primary emphasis of the Tire Rack Street Survival® is a “hands-on” driving experience in real-world situations! We use your own car to teach you about its handling limits and how you can control them. The students will become more observant of the traffic situation they find themselves in. They will learn to look far enough ahead to anticipate unwise actions of other drivers. As the students master the application of physics to drive their cars\, they will make fewer unwise driving actions themselves. We use your own car to teach you about its handling limits and how you can control them. The students will become more observant of the traffic situation they find themselves in. They will learn to look far enough ahead to anticipate unwise actions of other drivers. As the students master the application of physics to drive their cars\, they will make fewer unwise driving actions themselves.
