SUMMARY:Dragon Drive
DESCRIPTION:This year we’ll combine portions of the Back\, Tail and Claw of the Dragon into our own Dragon Drive.  We’ll still be driving through picturesque countryside on some challenging roads to exercise our Ultimate Driving Machines.  The drive will put us smack in the middle of the Appalachian Mountains in Virginia & West Virginia.  We may also venture out to The Breaks\, an interstate park\, located on the Virginia\, West Virginia & Kentucky tri-border and get a terrific view of the “Grand Canyon of the East.” On Columbus Day weekend\, we will head west to tackle this and other BMW worthy routes.  Highlights of the driving tour will include: \n\nCaravan from Hampton Roads to Wytheville\, Friday\, October 9; we’ll meet at the Shell Gas Station\, 4717 W Military Hwy\, Chesapeake\, VA 23321 at Noon\, departing at 12:15 pm\n‘Dragon Drive’ (www.visitvirginiamountains.com/trails.html)\, October  10 & 11\nCaravan back to Hampton Roads\, Monday\, October 12\nAccommodations at the Tru by Hilton\, 245 Boyd Ave\, Wytheville\, VA 24382  Phone: (276) 335-2290. DESCRIPTION:Sat\, June 27th 9am – 10:30am \nIt’s time for the BMW Peninsula Breakfast!  It will be held Saturday\, June 27th at the Blue Talon Bistro at 9:00 am.  Normally held at the Bakers Crust but they are unwilling to accommodate us at this time and encouraged us to reach out when we enter Phase 3. \nThe Blue Talon Bistro is blocking off two tables of 8 but made it clear that they will “work it out” if more than 16 show up. \nBlue Talon has great reviews and the manager is more than accommodating!!  She’s very excited to host our group and is doing everything to ensure we have a great time!  They are putting together a special menu just for our group and have offered to set up a Mimosa and Bloody Mary bar. \nSpecial BMW Menu \nThe cost is $17 per person\, including coffee and tea. There will be a mimosa and Bloody Mary bar. DESCRIPTION:Come join us on a Drive and Wine (in that order) taking a drive through the less traveled roads of the Peninsula to the wonderful Chatham Winery. \nRendezvous at 11:45 at the Eastern Shore of Virginia Welcome Center 32383 Lankford Hwy\, Cape Charles VA. ( It will be on your right after you exit the bridge) \nFollow the leader on the roads of the Eastern Shore to the Chatham Family-owned Winery where a wine tasting (including bread and cheese) awaits you.  The cost for the tasting is $15.00 per person which will be collected when you register using the RSVP HERE button below. \nOn the way back we will take a different road including a tour of one of the Eastern Shore villages and then back over  the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel with a stop at the Observation Area – great photo opportunity. \nThe Chatham Winery requires a solid count of wine tasters by Dec 2\, 2019.
